Lapland Glow Chalets is a collection of 35 private chalets for one or two guests at Ollerovaara, 10 km from Rovaniemi city centre in Finnish Lapland. Each has a panoramic window facing north for the northern lights, and breakfast is delivered to your door every morning. A quiet alternative to a Rovaniemi hotel.

The chalets

Two kinds of chalet, both for one or two.

The Glow Chalet, or the larger Grand Glow Chalet with its own handcrafted Finnish sauna. Both can be booked with a private outdoor jacuzzi.

Every stay includes breakfast, daily housekeeping, Wi-Fi and our Northern Lights Alert, which lets you know when the northern lights are visible.

Private sauna · Grand Glow Chalets

Heat, then cold air.

Every Grand Glow Chalet has its own handcrafted Finnish sauna, a few steps from the bed. No one else uses it.

Northern lights · from your bed

The window faces north.

We built the chalets around the northern lights: big windows facing north, where the aurora appears, 10 km from the city lights. No one can promise the sky, but here you have the best possible chance, without leaving bed. The season runs from late August to early April, usually best between 21:00 and 02:00.

Every chalet has a Glow sky ceiling: a soft, starry light above the bed for the nights when the clouds stay.

Breakfast is delivered to your door every morning, so you can stay warm, take your time and enjoy it in the privacy of your own chalet. Nothing to dress for, nowhere to be: just a slow morning in Lapland.

From December 2026, there is also our own Glow Restaurant, a Lapland-style kota with an open fire in the middle.

Questions

Is Lapland Glow Chalets a hotel?

No. It is 35 separate private chalets in the forest, each for one or two guests. There is no lobby or shared corridor; breakfast is brought to your door.

Can children stay?

The chalets are designed for one or two adults, but it is not an adults-only place. Children are welcome on request; the Grand Glow Chalets have room for one extra bed.

Where exactly is it?

Olleronvaarantie 57 in Ollerovaara, Rovaniemi: 10 km from the city centre and 17 km from Rovaniemi Airport.

What's included in the price?
